School Transport

In order to facilitate access for families from different areas on the island and enable them to co-ordinate working hours and school hours, Agora Portals offers a school transport service with 4 different routes:

  • Route 1 from Andratx
  • Route 2 from Palma de Mallorca (Corte Inglés Avenidas)
  • Route 3 from Son Verí
  • Route 4 from Marratxí (Festival Park)

School Dining Room

The school dining room is a key feature in providing the correct diet for our pupils, and is where they have one of their big meals of the day. At our school, where pupils take part in sports and a variety of different activities, it is fundamental that their lunch is balanced and rich in nutrients. To help families fit the children’s dinner to what they have eaten throughout the day, each month, as part of the school services, we send home the menu with suggestions for dinner. The menus are designed by a professional dietician and nutritionist who carries out a detailed study into each one of them.

Our food is home cooked and made by professional chefs who are experts in the dietary requirements of children. The school adapts the planned menu each day according to the specific needs of our pupils (allergies, special diets, illnesses and food guidelines indicated by parents) with personal attention for each student.

To do this, our teachers are the ones with the pupils at lunchtime, looking after them and teaching them the necessary dietary habits and values to encourage them to eat properly and understand this not as an obligation but as something healthy and necessary in their lives.

We also provide, as one of our school services, a cafeteria and restaurant for the families of our pupils. This service enables families to eat the same menu as their children and therefore experience the quality of the food. The cafeteria is open from 8 am to 7 pm.

Swimming Pool

Agora Portals International School enables our pupils’ families to purchase a pass to use the pool and therefore utilise the available lanes in extended opening hours. Other activities such as Aquagym are also available, and depending on demand, there are also swimming lessons given by specialist trainers. All pupils from Infant Education to 6th Primary Education have swimming lessons as part of the curriculum, and there is also a swimming club of pupils who compete in competitions.

Agora Portals International School has a large library offering pupils a great variety of books in the school’s official languages.

Included as one of the school services, there are computers with Internet connection, a book and magazine lending service, newspapers, etc. Opening hours are from 8 am to 6:30 pm.

Extended School Hours

To meet the needs of our different families, we offer extended school hours before and after the official school day, to adapt the hours at which pupils start and finish school to different family situations. To do this, we offer a childcare service with the following timetable:

  • Before school: 7:50 am – 8:40 am
  • After school: 5 pm – 6:30 pm

In the school shop families can buy school and sports uniforms, which are obligatory for all pupils.
