I was looking for a trilingual school with a good academic level where respect, diversity, effort and self-improvement were its pillars, believing that the other aspects of education should complement them through external activities, and I was surprised to learn that all the areas of a multidisciplinary education were taught at one school: mental arithmetic, chess, music, different sporting disciplines and national and international exchanges.”
“Our daughter was first diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum shortly before arriving at Agora in 2009 when she was 5 years old. Since then she has received personal attention and instruction from several specialist teachers from the DO who have worked with her in the multi-sensory DO classroom using both English and Spanish. The work of the DO has enabled Belén to progress personally and intellectually; we feel she is appreciated and valued in the Agora community and we continue to be immensely grateful for this.”
“Our son Javi has a developmental delay. We have only words of gratitude for the Psychopedagogy team at Agora Portals. The speed and professionalism of all its members has helped our son to develop well, surprising us all with his progress and making us so happy day after day. Thank you so much, he wouldn’t have been the same without you.”
AGORA PORTALS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL: WE EDUCATE CITIZENS FOR THE GLOBAL WORLD
Families are an incredibly important part of the Agora Portals Community. With the aim of providing an optimal environment for the students, both the families and the teachers are fully involved in following the pupils’ progress and in the process of making decisions which will affect their future.
At the private international school Agora Portals, we promote an open dialogue and take into account the needs of the pupils’ families. We believe that communication with families is fundamental for pupils’ learning. That’s why we ensure that families are informed in detail about the teaching and learning methodology at the school as well as any decision which could affect the students’ personal and academic process.
At Agora Portals we are dedicated to and engaged with all our families, searching for the balance between school and home. For this reason, we offer our families the opportunity to extend the school day beyond class time and therefore adapt the times that pupils start and finish school to different family circumstances.
The school offers a before-school and after-school childcare service, as well as a school transport service from different points of the island, which enable parents to co-ordinate their working hours with the school timetable.
Our school transport service follows four routes:
- Route 1 from Andratx
- Route 2 from Palma de Mallorca (Corte Inglés Avenidas)
- Route 3 from Son Verí
- Route 4 from Marratxí (Festival Park)
At Agora Portals International School we believe that the involvement of our families in the different educational stages is vital for the success of pupils throughout their time at school.
