Agora Portals – International Private School – Educational Project
Let them tell you about it
“The combination of the international, innovative and varied curriculum offered at Agora Portals, driven by a team of highly skilled and experienced educators who aim to provide students not only with knowledge and values but also key skills for life, makes for a unique, enriching and personalised educational experience for students and staff alike. The most up-to-date and varied teaching methods place cooperative learning, active participation and digital literacy at the forefront of our teaching. Students are motivated both through challenges and various reward systems, one of these being the School House system which unites students of different age groups towards a common goal. The student council (comprised of Prefects and Peer Mediators), together with the pastoral care service offered by the school, helps to create a positive school ethos in a safe and well- balanced learning environment characterised by respect, effort, tolerance and companionship.”
Global and International Readiness at Agora Portals International School
Language immersion is an important feature of our programme of studies. At our international school we teach Mandarin Chinese in Infant Education as well as during the first cycle of Primary Education. From Secondary Education onwards, pupils can choose between German and French.
To complement the education in languages which our pupils receive, they are also given the opportunity to study abroad for short or extended periods of time, as well as the chance to participate in international activities. One example of this is International Music Week, a multicultural event organised by NACE Schools in which different schools in the group take part.
Non-academic Educational Excellence
Extracurricular activities at Agora Portals International School are divided into 4 areas:
Activities to improve and reinforce what pupils learn during the school year.
Specific workshops for every one of the instruments used at the school.
Pupils follow a Music Project throughout the school year.
Creative Arts Projects such as performances, etc.
Pupils who take part in a high level of sports training follow the school’s ADE programme (Adaptation for Elite Sportspeople).
Through this programme, pupils in the Agora Portals Sports Club can combine their different activities: training, homework, classes and exams.
